Hiking in Germany on the Ahornweg - that means discovering the landscape and culture of the Osnabrücker Land for 100 kilometres on a total of six routes. Relax on narrow forest paths, enjoy beautiful views and forget the stress of everyday life for a while.
The Ahornweg is one of the hiking trails in Germany that consists of several loops.
The small loop - or in German: kleine Schleife - is 40 kilometres long and runs from Bad Iburg via Hagen am Teutoburger Wald and Georgsmarienhütte back to Bad Iburg.
The big loop - or in German: große Schleife - is 60 kilometres long, runs from Bad Iburg via Melle-Wellingholzhausen, Dissen am Teutoburger Wald, Hilter am Teutoburger Wald, Bad Rothenfelde and Bad Laer back to Bad Iburg and is characterised by a highly variable landscape with a slightly hilly profile, beautiful views and lovely transitions between forests and fields.
