Northern Europe’s oldest organ in Rysum

There is a little brick church at the highest point of the Rundwarf of Rysum in Krummhörn. This church is home to Northern Europe’s oldest working organ preserved in its original condition.

During the Krummhörner Orgelfrühling, the spring organ festival for sacred music in the northwest, you can experience wonderful concerts here and in many other churches in Krummhörn. Information about the concerts can be found on the Krummhörner Orgelfrühling website.

There’s also a great view of the church and the Warfendorf Rysum from the gallery of the mill opposite!

Further information about Rysum church and the organ can be found on the East Frisia website.
