Start your canoe trip at the Paddle and Pedal point in Stickhausen. From here, paddle for approximately 20 minutes until the right side of the Nordgeorgsfehnkanal (Nordgeorgsfehn Canal) flows into the Jümme and head straight along the Jümme.
In one hour, you can moor up on the right bank at the rest stop in Nortmoor and stretch your legs.
After another hour in yourcanoe on river, head right and paddle along the Leda. At this arm of the river, it is worth taking a look at the “Pünte”, the oldest manually operated ferry in northern Europe. As mentioned above, keep to the right. You will reach the Paddle and Pedal point in the town of Leer after about 20 minutes.
Bicycles await you here, ready for your journey along the 15 km bike path back to Stickhausen. As the current changes with the tides, upstream canoe tours are also possible (the downstream version is described here).
